INFORMATION AND BOOKING POLICY
Thank you for booking your diving vacation through Stuart Cove's. Please make sure you read this page so that you have everything you need for a wonderful time. |
| CANCELLATION POLICY (Diving & Hotels) - If cancellation occurs more than 15 days prior to the arrival date, you will receive a full refund of deposits and prepayments less a $25.00 cancellation fee per person. If canceled within 15 business days of arrival, there is a $50.00 per person cancellation fee plus applicable hotel penalty (30 days for holidays). If cancelled inside of 24 hours of your first activity - $50 per person cancellation fee plus additional penalty at hotel. Hotel penalties vary based on property. |
| CANCELLATION POLICY (Snorkeling & SUBS) - If cancellation occurs prior to 24 hours of your scheduled event, you may reschedule for another day/time on a space available basis. Reservation are non-refundable. If your cancellation occurs inside of 24 hours of your event, cancellations are non-refundable and non-transferable. |
| NON-USAGE OF PACKAGE INCLUSIONS - All packages (diving, snorkeling, subs, & hotels) are non-refundable and non-transferable once you arrive on island. Every effort is made by Stuart Cove's to accommodate necessary changes after arrival, however in certain cases this may not be possible due to availability of boats or staff. |
| RE-BOOKING and/or CHANGE FEE - $25.00 per person charge if vouchers and documents have been issued. |
| CHILDREN - Children's ages must be provided with at the time of the initial reservation in order to receive child rates (where applicable). Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on Stuart Cove's boats. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate in any Stuart Cove's activity. |
| TO ENTER THE ISLANDS OF THE BAHAMAS - You will need a valid passport beginning January 1, 2007. Some countries require a Visa, please consult with your local Bahamas Embassy or Consultant. In the case you do not have a Bahamas Embassy or Consulate, the British Embassy will service The Bahamas as well. All visitors are required to have an onward or return flight ticket. |
| TO DIVE - You need to bring proof of certification, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate divers without proof of certification, so DON'T FORGET YOUR CERTIFICATION CARD! For divers doing their training dives bring your referral form or signed log book. If it has been more than 3 years since your last logged dive, we will require you to do either a refresher course or a resort course dive first. Doing a Scuba Review program (including a pool session) at your local dive store prior to your arrival will be accepted when appropriate log book endorsements are presented. As is common industry practice, all participants will be required to sign a release form prior to participating in any event. If you are participating in any scuba training programs you must be at least 10 years old. You will also be asked to sign an additional release from and medical history form. |
| TO SNORKEL - You must be at least 4 years old. As is common practice in the marine industry, all participants will be required to sign a release form prior to participating in any event. |
| TO PILOT A SUB - You must be at least 12 years old and 5 feet tall. As is common practice in the marine industry, all participants will be required to sign a release form prior to participating in any event. In addition, you will be asked to complete medical history form. If you answer YES to any question, you may be advised to obtain permission from a licensed physician prior to participating in the SUB program. |
| UPON ARRIVAL ON NEW PROVIDENCE (NASSAU / PARADISE ISLAND) - Slow down and relax! If you booked airport transfers, proceed to the Majestic Tours Rep right outside of the customs area and present your voucher. Otherwise, take any taxi, the drivers know all the resorts and fares are fixed based on zones. |
| WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR HOTEL - Immediately after checking into your accommodations please call Stuart Cove's to let us know you arrived and to confirm your pick-up for your first day of activities with us. Our facility is located on the southwest side of New Providence island. Shop hours are 8am-5pm. Telephone 362-4171. If you arrive after shop hours please call and leave a message letting us know you arrived and your room number. Unless otherwise arranged we will assume your schedule has not changed, and space has been held on the boat for you as confirmed. Please re-confirm your diving schedule after your arrival. Please bring your certification card or referral letter, your dive vouchers and a credit card. The credit card is used as a security deposit on any rental equipment you require and to open a dive shop account for any incidental expenses you may incur. |
| ADDITIONAL INSURED - Any active scuba instructor may conduct training on board Stuart Cove's boats as long as they produce copies of their instructor insurance naming Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas, Stuart Cove's Dive South Ocean, and Nassau Undersea Adventures as an additional insureds. |
